HOW DID YOU DO? CHECK THE ANSWERS TO THE NATURE TRUE AND FALSE PLANTS QUESTIONS.

1. FALSE Although flowers are beautiful, their real purpose is to develop seed.

2. TRUE Some plants need pollen from other plants of the same kind in order to produce seeds. This pollen is carried to the plants by the wind or by birds or insects.

3. FALSE Every part of a cattail, from the root to the cottony fluff, can be put to good use. Some parts are even edible and medicinal.

4. TRUE I find it amazing that such a useful plant is classed as a weed. Not only is the flower beautiful, every part of the dandelion, from the roots to the leaves to the flower, are edible and medicinal.
